29 August 2008 | CREATING THE FERENGI
A brand new article has been added to the, The Next Generation section, about the species that should have been the main villain of the second Star Trek series.
Co-producer Herb Wright was asked by Gene Roddenberry to develop the new race that made its debut in the episode, “The Last Outpost,” however, they turned out not quite so villainous as intended and ended up to function largely as comic relief throughout the rest of the show. 28 August 2008 | CREATING THE BORG
Our article about “Creating the Borg” has been significantly updated with new information, and new imagery!
Where before the article was largely focused on the creation of the Borg for Star Trek: First Contact, it now features extensive background information about their conception for the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, “Q Who?” New concepts arts by Durinda Rice Wood along with First Contact behind-the-scenes photographs have also been added to the article.

23 August 2008 | CREATING THE SPECIES 8472
They are among the most fascinating, and undoubtedly the most unique of Star Trek alien species, yet up until now, we had no article about their creation here at Forgotten Trek. A fine page about Species 8472 has thus been added to our Post-The Next Generation section.
