Today’s event is all about Coalescaremonium, the annual Gothic happening in Brussels, Belgium, in the beautiful converted monastery Bouche à L’Oreile in the heart of the European quarter (for those worried, that’s one of the nice parts of Brussels).
The second edition of this event will take place on Saturday, the 29th of March from 3pm to 2am.
This year’s theme is Radiant Darkness and whilst there is a dresscode, the organisation is very open minded about it. Of course there are some rules, but they are more than reasonable and their website states quite clearly that all adepts of whatever kind of ‘punk are more than welcome wearing what they like best.
What sets Coalescaremonium apart from similar events is that it’s not just a Gothic Gala event, it’s also a place to shop, socialise, have a bit to eat, dance, enjoy live performances and have a general good time apart from arriving, flaunting your outfit, looking around and being seen/noticed.
Plus they have an “open backstage” policy, which means that artists will be part of the crowd and you’ll be able to meet the performers in a friendly atmosphere.
To top it all off they have an added after party (as the main event ends at 2am) going from 2-6am at La Porte Noire, right by the Brussels City Center, so in reality you get not one, but two events for the ticket price! It may be on the steeper side, but they are really offering value for money that makes the € 32 in pre-sales and € 40 at the door absolutely worth it.
