On offer here are articles and galleries about the genre, as well as dieselpunk—the dirtier, grittier incarnation of steampunk specifically characterised by the rise of petroleum power and technocratic perception.

Viewing Requirements: A CSS-compatible browser is required to view this website. Either Safari or Mozilla Firefox is strongly recommended—besides displaying the website as it should appear, both are much more user-friendly and safe in comparison with Internet Explorer.

Nearly all pages should fit an 800 by 600 pixels resolution, but the website is designed for an 1024 by 768 pixels resolution, or higher. JavaScript should be enabled for a perfect viewing experience and is required to navigate this section of the website.

Design Notes: Allow me to elaborate upon several considerations made in designing this version of the website to prevent further comments upon them.

• While I am aware of the CSS-incompatibility of older browsers, considering that Internet Explorer supports CSS since its fourth version and—to the best of my knowledge—all other browsers do so too, I have chosen not to provide an alternative for users whose browser cannot handle CSS. Even regardless of CSS-compatibility these users should seriously consider upgrading their browser to guarantee safe surfing.

• Contrary to what appears to be the standard nowadays, external links from my website will not open in a new window. It is my belief that any user should decide him- or herself where a link is supposed to open. Besides, forcing links to open in a new window is terribly inconvenient for non-Internet Explorer users, considering that most others browsers allow tabs to make for a better browsing experience.
