It is 1946. The greatest conflict mankind has ever known has entered its seventh bloody year. Tens of millions have already fallen, yet the war rages on. No corner of the globe has been spared, the shadow of battle hovers above every land. Millions have been left homeless, driven from the charred carcasses of once great cities. Millions more cower beneath the iron heel of foreign rule. Awesome weapons of destruction rain down upon the earth, blasting the land itself into a blackened cinder. Mankind stands on the edge of midnight as the wheel of history turns toward its darkest hour.

By 1946 nearly every side of the conflict that has consumed the world has turned to all manner of wonder weapons in order to achieve victory. From the technological marvels conceived by scientific minds across the world to advances in biological and chemical warfare, the face of war has changed drastically in a few short years. As each side tries desperately to discover the means to end this conflict and prove victorious, the eyes of the world have turned towards the mysterious, the unknown, the arcane, the occult.

Re: Crickey, Secret Nazi stuff

some more stuff in form of the board game TANNHÄUSER. Think of buying it in the near future big_smile

The year is 1949. The first World War rages on. The forces of the Union strive to end the conflict through the use of advanced technology, created from the alien wreckage discovered at Roswell. Their soldiers are equipped with the finest military technology in existence thanks to the brilliance of Edison. From the devastating Flash Machine Gun to the sight-enhancing Night-eyes night vision goggles, the Union is winning the arms race. Their foes are the Reich. Headed by the occult powered Kaiser, this army of evil scours the globe for ways to enhance their prodigious occult abilities. Squads of the possessed sweep through Europe led by the Marquis General, Hermann Von Heïzinger. Recent developments in the war have forced Mother Russia to enter the battle. Living embodiments of the reawakened Slavic gods, the Matriarchy is a deadly force to be reckoned with. Their robotic hordes are fueled with the genius of Tesla, and his electrical weaponry is easily the equal of the Union's technological advancements. The war is reaching a fever point, which side will win?
Tannhäuser puts you in the middle of a alternate timeline. What we now call World War I has never ended, and the forces involved have chosen new ways to break the stalemate. Featuring the Pathfinding system, a revolutionary way to mark line of sight, Tannhäuser gets you in the thick of the battle quick. Each side has unique characters and equipment, and you must outfit your figures to best advantage in order to win. Each force has a multitude of equipment and weapon options. Customize your force, and ensure your soldiers have exactly what you need them to. The choices you make determine if your team is prepared for the enemy they will face.

Re: Crickey, Secret Nazi stuff

found a new weird war novel I'm soon going to buy (damn, my to-buy list grows and grows...)

SHADOWS IN THE MIST by Brian Moreland

http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6747/518el8u7g1lss500.jpg

"1944 Germany: World War II is beginning to take a fateful turn for the worse for the Nazi regime. Allied forces are closing in on the Third Reich, and victory is all but assured in the global crusade against tyranny; however, one unfortunate Allied platoon will soon wage a climactic battle against a supernatural foe far more sinister than anything they could ever imagine - and it's up to the courageous descendant of one of the platoon's soldiers to prevent the truth of their legacy from being lost forever...

With a perfect mix of mystery and suspense, Shadows In The Mist is a riveting, fast-paced thriller. In his debut instant classic, author Brian Moreland has crafted an imaginative page-turner, complete with nonstop action and seamless transitions. Inspired by true events, Shadows takes readers into the heart of real battle, but not without a surprising series of clever twists and turns along the way. Coming in at just over 350 pages, Shadows reads like a novella half its size as Moreland masterfully interweaves fact and fiction into a vivid, breathtaking tapestry.

A standout debut from a fast-rising literary star, Shadows In The Mist is a spellbinding supernatural thriller not to be missed. (amazon.com)"

Re: Crickey, Secret Nazi stuff

Thought I should mention this short film, 'The Soldier', which was fairly successful and is now being turned into a full film called '4th Reich'.
