Re: Steampunk art

This is actually a piece I just did recently myself. It's not like top quality, but I'm learning how to use my tablet and I drew it on iScribble.net. I hope you like it. The character is my main RP character, Scott Frizelli. He's a tinkerer.

Enjoy.

Re: Steampunk art

I think it's pretty cute wink The character appears rather more sharp than the background though. I'd suggest trying to blend that more, now it looks a bit as though it's two different pictures merged together. But I should add that I'd never be able to make something like that, so I shouldn't be too critical!

I'll add you to my watchlist on deviantArt.

Re: Steampunk art

It's like that because it was done on two seperate layers in iScribble. I'm grateful for the layer system because it allows me to work on the character first, then add the background. I'm not entirely sure HOW he ended up a little bit more clear, but eventually I might gain the skill to smooth things out. As I said, I'm learning to use my tablet, and honestly that's the first Steampunk drawing I've ever done, especially of an airship.

Though that's about a week old, and this I drew just yesterday, I rather like its design.

Also, you don't have to watch me, lol, not like my work is that great or that often...

Re: Steampunk art

Very nice, SteamTabby. Tablets can be really difficult to use; the one time I tried learning, I gave up and went back to the mouse. Stick with it and I'm sure your art will be fantastic!

I love the sketchy style you've used in that airship picture. It is reminiscent of blueprints.

Re: Steampunk art

That's for sure. I found a great gallery of surreal artwork about a week ago, but I can't seem to find the link in my history... If I remember I'll post it!
