Welcome to the COLONIAL CHAMBER of The Gatehouse, where we rejoice in the might and majesty of what was once the British Empire. Steampunk explores the potential of nineteenth-century industry and fulfills the Promises of its Progress, with stories set in Imperialist Britain or its overseas realms and its protagonists inevitably shaped by the attitudes and perceptions of the era. Steampunk embraces a time of romance, in which Britannia sometimes Waived the Rules and true Ladies and Gentlemen roamed the globe in pursuit of Adventure.
